Description
Pontiac's 400 cubic-inch V8 is a true legend, so it's great to have the number-matching YS unit in this real-deal GTO. It keeps an original-style presentation, right down to the bold turquoise on the block. But you can also tell that this has received the right maintenance over the years, including the newer alternator and brake booster. The mighty V8 inhales deeply with a proper Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it makes a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. The TH400 three-speed automatic is a stout unit that's ideal for a muscle car that likes power driving as well as easy cruising. The same goes for the power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and modern tires disguised as classic redline units.
