Corvettes have their own important place in the car culture, so when the completely restyled 1968 was introduced, it was big news to say the least. 1968 was also the year that the legendary Zora Arkus Duntov was named Chief Engineer of the Corvette. Changes for 1968 were radical. No trained eye is needed. The Mako Shark inspired body design would remain a hallmark of Corvette styling for years to come. This was the first year for the T top coupe.
