Body-color 16″ artillery-style steel wheels are mounted with Coker Classic whitewall tires. The 1939 model year was Ford’s first to feature four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. The front wheel cylinders were replaced in October 2024, and the brake fluid was flushed at that time.
