Body-color wood-spoke wheels wear polished Franklin-branded hubcaps with brown accents and beige pinstriping, and they are mounted with 6.50–19 Custom Classic bias-ply tires. Matching spares are stowed under brown metal covers in the front fenders. The Airman rode on a 132″ wheelbase and featured tubular axles as well as front and rear fully elliptical leaf springs. The four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes were serviced in preparation for the sale with the installation of replacement wheel cylinders and brake hoses as well as a rebuild of the master cylinder.
