The foredeck and quarterdeck are natural varnished mahogany, and the king planks and coverboard are stained walnut. The vessel’s registration number and manufacturer’s name are painted on the sides, while its name, Star Dust, can be found on the transom. In 2003 Western Runabouts sanded, repaired, and varnished the hull and deck.
