16″ Halibrand-style knock-off alloy wheels wear polished spinners and are wrapped in Excelsior Sport tires that were mounted under current ownership. While the original XP-5 models utilized Volkswagen front suspension components and Buick drum brakes, this example rides on a custom chassis by DRE Racing. It is fitted with a Mustang II front suspension with a Jaguar-sourced independent rear suspension. Braking is handled by Wilwood calipers and ventilated discs up front along with Jaguar inboard discs out back. Service under current ownership involved flushing the brake fluid and replacing the adjustable coilovers.
