Black-finished five 17″ tri-spoke cast aluminum wheels wear chrome Mustang-branded center caps and are mounted with 245/45 Nitto NT01 tires. R models featured revised suspension tuning with a larger-diameter front stabilizer bar, a front strut-tower brace, upgraded front and rear springs, and heavy-duty front struts and rear shocks. Hydraulic power steering was standard equipment, and a power steering cooler was added as part of the R Competition Package, which also featured upgraded disc brakes at all four corners. The car has been modified with Maximum Motorsports rear lower control arms.
