Styling touches distinct to the US variant of the 2000 Spider include close-set hood scoops divided by a chrome strip as well as a single trim piece along each rocker panel. A side mirror has been added on the left fender. Chrome 400mm Borrani wire wheels are secured with three-eared knock-offs and wear Michelin X tires, as does a matching spare housed in the trunk. The black soft top can be seen in the raised position in the photo gallery below. An etched mark left by the top of a wiper blade on the passenger side of the windshield is pictured in the gallery below.
