Chrome 19″ wire wheels wear Packard-branded hubcaps and are mounted with Firestone whitewall bias-ply tires. Dual spare wheels are mounted in Midnight Green cases with chrome accents in the front fenders. Ninth Series Packards introduced a “double-drop” chassis design with X-bracing and featured automatic chassis lubrication and adjustable shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel mechanical drum brakes.
