Description
The Ferrari 348 TB "Challenge" was based on TB or TS versions for the first customer "challenge" competitions (American or European). In the case of the European 348 Challenge, the vehicles taking part were all tb/ts versions (registered for the road), on which owners had to purchase a Kit sold by Ferrari. This Kit was available at the end of September 1992, and sold by Ferrari. The kit consisted of :
- Aluminium crankset- Momo steering wheel identical to original - 2 bucket seats - Steel hoop - aviation buckle harness - manual steel extinguisher - circuit breaker- sport" exhaust system- plexiglass to protect fog lamps- the "348 challenge" logo to stick on the hood- Underbody panels with air intakes to cool front brakes
